Questions
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about using Clinic Q.
Does Clinic Q cost anything for patients?
Creating an account and booking through Clinic Q is free. You pay your clinic for your care, according to its own fees.
Why does my appointment say Requested?
Some clinics review each booking first. Your appointment shows Requested until the clinic confirms it, and Confirmed after that. Your account always shows the current status.
How do I change or cancel an appointment?
Open the appointment in My account and choose Change time or Cancel. A clinic may ask for notice before online changes. If it is too close to your visit, please call the clinic.
How does check-in work?
At participating clinics, scan the Clinic Q code when you arrive and sign in. You can also check in at reception. Either way, you receive a ticket number.
How accurate is the waiting time?
It is an estimate that can change. Urgent cases and clinical priorities can affect the order, so please stay close by and follow what clinic staff ask.
Can other people see my details?
Your details go only to the clinics you book with. Waiting room screens and queue tracking never show your name to other patients.
Can I book for my child or a relative?
You can book for a child under 18 if you are their parent or legal guardian: add them under My family. The clinic may ask you to verify this at the visit. Adults need their own account, so their health information stays theirs.
Can I pay online?
Not yet. Please pay your clinic directly. Fees are shown where a clinic chooses to publish them.
Why can I not find my doctor?
Only doctors whose clinics have joined and published their profiles appear here. You can suggest a clinic through our contact page.
How do I get a copy of my data, or delete my account?
Go to Settings in My account. You can ask for a copy, or close your account yourself. Clinics keep their own records of your care, and may have to retain them by law.
Can Clinic Q give me medical advice?
No. Clinic Q cannot advise you on symptoms or treatment. Please speak to a healthcare professional. In an emergency, call 110 for an ambulance or go to your nearest hospital.
